Everything I Saved This Week | 025
Recent mental fancies.
I’ve admittedly found it rather hard to be inspired by much lately, though, the Oasis gig last weekend did help ;). I’m also anxiously awaiting the arrival of Sofia Coppola’s Chanel Haute Couture tome that arrives in the mail on Wednesday from Mack Publishing…I’ve been waiting for it since December! I also picked up World of Interiors’ ‘Literature Issue’ and W’s fall fashion issue. I find having something in my hands helps when I need some sort of spark to get the mind going. Frankenstein is on the side table too, as is Jane Birkin’s Munkey Diaries. I just finished the advanced copy of Marisa Meltzer’s It Girl and needed some more Jane B… more on that soon!
Here are images and things hitting the mark and filling my proverbial cup of inspiration for week ending 9/13/25.
Kirsten Dunst for AnOther Magazine Shot by Marili Andre
Saved because: There is something so ethereal and tender about Kirsten Dunst’s new shoot for AnOther. It’s styled by one of the greats, Katie Shillingford. See more here.
Altuzarra S/S ‘26
Saved because: Joseph Altuzarra’s collections have been one of my favorites to see coming out of NYFW the last few seasons, and his latest didn’t disappoint. I loved this take on a trench, in a silky olive green—feels more like a dressing gown than outerwear.
Chloe A/W ‘25 by David Sims
Saved because: Never met a garden statue photographed on film I didn’t love—especially when it has Chemena Kamali’s heart-shaped Paddington bag on it!
Brooch by JAR, 1999
Saved because: I’ve been really drawn to emeralds lately—and this gorgeous shot stood out to me. It would just look so gorgeous on this new longline black oversized blazer I bought… image found via Danielle Sultan’s wonderful account.
Simone Rocha’s Portfolio in the Financial Times feat. Grian Chatten & Fiona Shaw
Saved because: Not one but TWO Irish legends featured in this wonderfully whimsical portfolio of Simone Rocha super fans for the recent HTSI issue. I first noticed Grian (frontman of Fontaines D.C., one of my absolute fave rock bands of today) and his bandmate Carlos wearing SR pieces last year and was delighted. (It’s actually what got me into the SR Crocs, the only Crocs I will ever buy, I might add, lol).
I also adored when Fiona Shaw walked the F/W ‘25 show back in February in the most gorgeous gathered black gown with the collection’s signature bike lock chain. She’s really just one of my favorite actresses in general, and someone who excites me about aging. For me, the Fontaines boys embracing Simone’s menswear has been a treat, I love a bit of a blurred line and gender bending, and when boys are OK with frills or crystal embellishments. Fiona’s portraits from the series are my forever sought-after perfect mix of androgyny, which is with Simone Rocha is just so good at. Shaw also said of wearing the designer’s clothes:
“It reminded me of Yeats poetry. I used to speak, ‘That is no country for old men. The young/In one another’s arms’, and I didn’t really know what it meant, but there was a heft to it that made me feel very empowered. I feel similarly about Simone’s clothes.”
Loved this through and through. Def check out the rest of the shoot with Janicza Bravo, Ruth Negga, and more. Photos by Niall Hodson.
Bomi NYC’s Current IG Grid
Saved because: Look, I deal in IG grid-making every day, and I will never underestimate the power of a very well curated IG grid. I popped over to Bomi’s IG today and the first four rows spoke to me as I think about the transition to fall: cornflower blue, glass rings, floral hints, muted butter yellow, and all in all, products that make your life and your home feel like a work of art. I can’t wait to visit Bomi when I hopefully get back to NYC in the spring.
Until next week, sending massive
love to all. x
