Everything I Saved This Week | 024
A bit of a mish mash. Recent mental fancies.
For week ending 8/30/25.
Noel Gallagher by Tom Sheehan, 1994
Saved because: If you’ve met me, or read the name of this Substack, you know I’ve got a penchant for Oasis. In the lead up to to their LA return next weekend, I’ve been consuming everything you can think of about the band, including this photo book I got from Arcana last weekend by Tom Sheehan. I’m stuck on these two photos of Noel, the colors of the film print are so vibrant, his sunglasses so perfect, perhaps an inspiration for the Thistles Al, methinks? Love everything about it.
Hernán Herdez Rings
Saved because: No look I love more lately than bare nails and beautiful chunky rings. I have my eye on Hernan Herdez’s Composition Ring…noting my birthday is in 2.5 months!
Naomi Campbell for Louis Vuitton by Marc Jacobs F/W ‘99
Saved because: Can’t get my mind off the candy colored Vernis monogram bags from Marc Jacobs’s Fall ‘99 collection for the house. The clothes from the collection were mostly what you’d expect from a 1999 offering—mostly ribbed sweaters, chord belts, minimal silhouettes—but Marc brought something special with his bags for this season. If Marc did one thing for LV (of which he did many) he always really brought it in terms of the handbag design. I’m still thinking about one of the Richard Prince bags from 2008…
Dreamy Milan Apartment, Source Unknown
Saved because: Craving a trip to Milan. I went there when I was 16 and remember it a little bit, but I’d love to go back and really dive into the design ethos of the city. Love this black parquet flooring and the very Prada shade of green on the chair, and the abundant hydrangeas.
A Pop of Red From Gucci Menswear A/W ‘15
Saved because: I always forget to think about Alessandro Michele’s early Gucci era, when his collections were, and I say this with love, minimal. Actually, this collection was his proto-debut and it’s fun to look back to see what were effectively his “stripped back” designs, like this shrunken beige sweater with a bright red button-down underneath, finished with a tiny ruffle hem, paired with wool trousers and oversized silver rings. Honestly, will be recreating this 10/10.
Prada S/S 2025 Captured by Julie Greve for AnOther Magazine
Saved because: There it is again—the dusty pink trench from Prada S/S ‘25 collection, but instead of in a glossy fashion editorial, it’s featured here in AnOther Magazine photographed by Julie Greve. The entire spread is referencing The Virgin Suicides, but with a bit of a filter of gloomy England on it. Just my thing and worth a look.
Goodbye, August! Ready for September.

Yes to all of this but I LOVE Hernan Herdez’s work. Always find myself returning to it, and of course you agree.
