For week ending 6/14.
Anne Libby, These Days via Jacqueline Sullivan Gallery
Saved because: A window shade caught frozen in time, cast in aluminum, to be exact is what I want on my wall. On view at Jacqueline Sullivan Gallery in NYC, I came across this piece by artist Anne Libby that, on its own, could be mistaken for a piece of jewelry if seen as a macro photograph, but is actually an everyday inanimate object interpreted as art. The show it’s part of is called ‘The Semiotics of Dressing’ where artists explore the idea of the private dressing room. Run, don’t walk, if you’re in NYC.
Cindy Sherman for Beauty Papers Magazine
Saved because: Cindy!! And that palette—damn. The colors are so vivid, her attitude comes through the image. Never met a Cindy Sherman photograph I didn’t love.
Jamb London x Scenery Magazine Objects
Saved because: Greco-Roman architectural fragments make my heart sing. The most beautiful collection I’ve ever seen on them was at the Sir John Soane Museum (a must-visit if you love history, architecture, archaeology, etc). Some photos on my Instagram here. I came across these new marble recreations from Scenery Magazine and Jamb London, who specialize in antique fireplaces and lighting. They’re far out of my price range, but they’re certainly gorgeous to look at. Olive Ateliers just launched a cast stone collection, and added this jar to my ongoing collection of pieces inspired by this period.
Crash Magazine, March 2000
Saved because: An excellent collaged cover from the era of Virgin Suicides press. I am back deep in my Sofia Coppola obsession and it is a place of obsession I’ll never, ever leave (gladly!!)
A Very Good Dining Room Library Situation
Saved because: I am constantly dreaming of a larger table in my house—one that I can just spread out everything over, magazines, work, books, journals. Alas, one day I’ll get my table. Love this concept of a dining table with mismatched chairs and a makeshift library behind it.

This S/S ‘25 Acne Studios Dress Shot by Emily Lipson
Saved because: I honestly can’t get this Acne Studios dress out of my head…and anything Emily Lipson shoots, I love. This shot was from a Self Service editorial. If you haven’t seen her work, you should check it out. IMO, she shoots everything with a feeling I don’t see in fashion photography anymore. 10 on 10.
Cartier x NYT in Vogue Greece, Dec 2023
Saved because: I’ve waxed poetic about still life photography in the past, and this shot from an old issue of Vogue Greece deserves to be added to my archive of favorites. I adore how sparse it is, an everyday object wrapped in such luxury, a diamond panther Cartier bracelet, specifically. Photographed by Alessandro Burzigotti.
Have a good week! x
Maddie
Brilliant as usual!!!
