Loewe S/S ‘25 Signet Ring Invite
Saved because: A gothic script is irresistible to me. I’m not usually one to be fond of displaying a brand name, but this Loewe S/S ‘25 show invite just converted me. Since February, I’ve also been dreaming of JA’s tesserae jewelry he did for Loewe F/W ‘24, not that I’ll ever be able to afford it or even access it, but a gal can dream.
I’m also kind of here for rings as necklaces. It feels so deeply personal. J.Hannah’s newest baby signet charm has been in my mental shopping cart 👀
SC103 S/S ‘25 Dress
Saved because: My favorite bags I own are by SC103, and I’ve been enjoying watching their ready-to-wear offerings expand as they continue to show. This flouncy multi-stripe dress from their recent NYFW show is on my mind; imagine how good it would be over full-coverage black bodysuit and knee-high boots.
Prada S/S ‘25 Details
Saved because: As always, the Prada show is what I look forward to most during fashion month, and the Miuccia-Raf offering this season was NOT a disappointment. It had my fashion rule of thumb all over it: aside from some key pieces, these are all looks you could style with things in your closet.
The collection also saw the return of many iconic Prada house codes: studs, distressed leather, silver eyelets, winged footwear, unique selections from the color wheel, duck-shoe details, mirrored palettes, etc.—mixing soft and hard in the expert way only Miuccia can. My most favorite detail was the recurring, upturned collars that look like they just came out of a spring rainstorm, specifically one on a pale pink trench coat.
Frank Stella, Labyrinth (1960)
Saved because: Net met a Green-inspired spiral I didn’t love.
The Gentlewoman’s Bag Ladies
Saved because: If you know me, you know I’m a certified bag lady™ to the point of it being ridiculous. In fact, my friend Sydney of Thoughts & Wants just convinced me to buy the Hulken (I got the chrome one bc it oddly cool?) The Gentlewoman perfectly captures how I feel when I show up to work with nearly everything in hand in their latest issue.
Anna Deller-Yee’s Painted Roses for Marni S/S ‘25
Saved because: These remind me of the newsletter I wrote earlier this past week about tenderness. Nothing is more tender than a rose, but you could also say there is a certain roughness to roses and even a touch of menace. I feel the Marni S/S ‘25 collection captured that in designer-painter Anna Deller-Yee’s handpainted prints that scored the collection. I would love to hang up multiple of these on my walls. Deller-Yee is one to watch—I’ve been obsessed with the hand-painted Marni frocks she’s been creating for Anna Wintour and the work she’s been doing with Francesco Risso.
Guzman for Harper’s Bazaar 1991
Saved because: Absolutely drooling over this patent-leather gloved hand and Chanel Byzantine cuff photograph from 1991 with my favorite shade of matcha green backdrop. On my list of items I must own in my lifetime is definitely a Chanel Byzantine cuff….one day.
Jean Paul Gaultier F/W ‘92
Saved because: I came across this archival image from JPG F/W ‘92 and I can’t stop thinking about this bonkers headpiece mixing what looks like headphones, an orb, a hand and tarot cards. This is what I’d like to be wearing all spooky season, thank you very much. I also just discovered he showed another headpiece at the end of the collection that features a cigarette holder—couture multitasking only! You can see more in this video.
Until next time!
